The American's Creed - by William Tyler Page  American Flag by Joye Ridgeway

I believe in the United States of America as a government of the people, by the people, for the people, whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a Repbublic; a sovereign Nation of many sovereign States, a perfect Unioin, one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.

I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey it's laws; to respect it's flag; and to defend it against all enemies.  By William Tyler Page

This is a great American's Creed.  And, one that I don't believe I have ever read before.  It is complete and would work for me.  Thanks, Joyce!

Thanks, Don.  I remember learning (memorizing) this in American History class in High School.  It's horrifying to think today kids are getting by without knowledge of American History or the American Creed.
